Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass country singer and musician. Her first job was in the music business in the early years of her life. When she was 10, she won local contests, and then recorded her first album. After signing with Rounder Records, her first album was released in 1987. The band invited her to join the band with which she still performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and later released her first album as a band in 1989.
