Kelly Clarkson is an American performer and songwriter. She was the national sweetheart when she won the American Idol title in Season 1 of the reality show. The victory not only propelled her to the top of the charts, but also earned her a multi-album record deal in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings and 'S Records. In the time since, she's released a number album studios. Of these albums, 3 reached the top of the US Billboard 200 Chart while the other albums were two centimeters off. She's among the most successful artists to originate from the American Idol series. She tried her hand at popularity with various themes and different musical styles. She was often the one to write lyrics of her own. Because of her distinctiveness and vocal prowess, she received high praise and many awards. She was awarded the Grammy Award 3 times. Alongside her music career, she also has played on television and movies. In addition, she is the author of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as a member of numerous charitable organizations.
